The CompTIA A+ 1001 & 1002 exams cover different topics related to IT support. The A+ 1001 mainly focuses on hardware, networking & mobile devices, whereas 1002 solely focuses on operating systems, security & software troubleshooting.
Can I take Core 2 before Core 1?+
Yes, one can take CompTIA A+ Core 2 before Core 1. However, many candidates do prefer to take the core 1 before core 2, as the CompTIA A+ certification program allows you to schedule your exam in the proper order.
Should I study for the 1001/1002 or start studying the newer 1201/1202?+
It is required to study for the latest 220-1201/1202 exams rather than the traditional 220-1001/1002. Therefore, the 220-1201 & 1202 exams are the current versions and reflect the latest technologies & skills required for entry-level IT professionals.

En caso de que no apruebes el examen A+ en tu primer intento, las políticas de repetición de CompTIA son las siguientes:
- CompTIA no exige un período de espera entre el primer y el segundo intento para aprobar dicho examen. Sin embargo, si necesita un tercer intento o posteriores para aprobarlo, deberá esperar un período de al menos 14 días naturales a partir de la fecha de su último intento antes de poder volver a presentarse al examen.
- Si un candidato ha aprobado un examen, no podrá volver a presentarse sin el consentimiento previo de CompTIA.
- Los resultados de las pruebas que infrinjan la política de repetición no serán procesados, por lo que no se otorgará ningún crédito por la prueba realizada. Quienes infrinjan repetidamente esta política serán excluidos del Programa de Certificación CompTIA.
